We have created hundreds of websites over eight years of building and have developed a proven system for taking your ideas, combining them with our expertise, and creating beautiful websites for your business.
Please read about our website process below and fill out the Website Concept Worksheet at the bottom of the page so we can get a better understanding of your project.
Our 7 Step Website Development Process
Our website process is a proven method for delivering the best possible website for your business in the shortest time frame with the least amount of redos and mistakes. Every phase is equally important and rely on each other to provide you with the best website experience possible.
In order for each phase to be completed, a signed Milestone document will need to be submitted to your account manager that approves the phase completion.
1 – Research & Requirements
We can’t build you a website without a blueprint. In this phase we work with you to understand your project goals and nail down a plan for mocking, designing, and building your new site.
We’ll figure out how to best lay out your website’s elements to fit your conversion points, map out special features for your audience, look at competitor sites for design trends, and ensure that your website is exactly what you need to meet your goals.
At the end of this phase, you’ll be given a thoroughly researched Requirements Document that fully describes the project.
2 – Wireframing
This phase is a crucial step in bringing the written requirements to life. We’ll sketch out each of your website’s screens in Balsamiq so we can begin to visualize the site’s structure.
These wireframes are the building blocks for design and ensure that we haven’t missed anything in our Requirements Document. This phase also gives us the chance to rapidly iterate layout choices before starting with the design.
At the end of this phase, you’ll be given finalized Wireframe Screens of how the website will be structured.
3 – Web Design
When the Requirements Document and Wireframe Screens have been completed, we use them as the core for our website design. The design itself is drawn from a mixture of provided example sites, competition, brand assets, audience research, and our own experience.
Designs may go through multiple iterations and modifications before completion and any imagery or text used will be completely customizable in the end product.
At the end of this phase, you’ll be given finalized Design Screens of how the website will look after it is built.
4 – Web Development
This is perhaps the most straightforward phase – we build the website. All of our websites are fully responsive so they fit on all mobile devices. We will not accept a project requirement for a non-responsive website.
At key points during this phase, you will be given access to preview the live development of the website screens. When a screen is complete, you are welcome to provide feedback on it so we can adjust it accordingly.
At the end of this phase, you’ll be given finalized Website Files that are yours to modify at will.
5 – Testing
Often overlooked, testing is one of the most critical phases of any website project. We test on all major browsers and multiple screen sizes to ensure you receive a site that simply works. Minimizing bugs eliminates downtime and allows us to close the project and add it to our portfolio – a win-win for everyone.
6 – Implementation
This phase is an important moment in the website process when we take your website and install it on your server – making the site live for the public eye. It can be a very delicate procedure since every server and site setup is slightly different. Having implemented many websites, we are fully prepared for any hiccups that may occur along the way.
At the end of this phase, your website will be live on your server and will constitute full delivery of the project.
7 – Support
The website may be live, but it may have a few bugs or be in need of some tweaks. For 10 days after project completion, we will happily assist with fixes, minor tweaks, and help you figure out how to figure everything out.
Please feel free to contact us if you have any trouble with the site at any time and we will look into it.
